Another skill to add to our kete(bag) of knowledge!

Whaea Matina is one talented kaiako (teacher)! She has been teaching us all about the Ukurere or the Ukulele. So far we have learnt: ngā wāhanga o te ukurere - the parts of a ukulele, a few chords and how to strum the ukurere. Check out our photos and videos. P.s. These are from lessons 1 & 2.

Ngā mihi Whaea Matina for all your wonderful knowledge!

Kei te ako Mātou ki.... We have been learning...

Ngā Mahi Pāngarau - Maths

Whaea Matina has been teaching us all about ngā koki (angles) - we had the opportunity to explore where we could find 'koki' in our learning enviornments - the classroom, the whare and outside. Here are a few photos from our lessons.

Girls CAN play Rippa!

We started off this very cold and rainy week off with a bit of Rippa. Our instructor taught us a few passing techniques and finished off with a very fun and exciting game. Something we need to work on is our 'forward passing' we seem to always think we're on a netball court and pass the ball forward.

Check out our photos.

Nau mai, haere mai Whaea Cammy!

During week 4 we welcomed Whaea Cammy, our student teacher to our classroom. She will be with us for 5 weeks. We look forward to learning everything you have to share with us.

Getting ready for change!

Our body is in the process of developing some new changes. During week 3 a majority of us learnt about these changes. Some parts were really gross and some were actually pretty interesting. Thanks Robyn and Lucy for sharing your knowledge.
